ECOLOGICAL SUCCESSION
The ecological succession that happened in the garden was secondary succession because it had previously existing soil. From the first time we went out, we knew that there were planted seeds and potted plants. Over time, mostly everything planted or potted had grown and ecological succession had helped with this. More plants and more animals had come out to produce many other cycles. The diagram above shows ecological succession, though our garden didn't (and couldn't) reach our climax community over the period of 6-10 weeks, though it was on the right path.
